I am 54 years of age and am now participating within my 4th age group category. Each
time I change groups I tell myself that this is the one – the one that I can come finish on top in! I have yet to do
that but that won’t ever stop me from trying and it shouldn’t stop you from trying either.
Outside of Triathlon, I’ve been married to a beautiful, intelligent, VERY PATIENT woman for over 24 years and am father
to three great kids who have, while I looked away for a moment, became wonderful, strong young adults carving out
their own unique niches in the world. None of them so far have elected to sample my own niche. Oh well!
I have been a successful business owner for over 17 years, a past president of our local Rotary club and now serve
that organization at a district level position as an Asst. District Governor and also co-chair a committee tasked
with monitoring the youth protection policies that govern our Rotary youth programs.
Triathlon has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It has largely shaped who I have become in my
mid-fifties. Some people find their passion early on in life, for others it takes a little longer. Whatever time frame
that happens in, it is important to seize it! It makes such a huge difference in a person’s personal development,
their health, their outlook on life. Outside of my family and my faith, triathlon is my passion and I welcome the
opportunity to share it with you!
